I served as Project Manager for a research project that produced a detailed white paper including an overview of the how cultural heritage organizations were using mobile technologies in 2009, offered best practice recommendations for developing for mobile platforms, and offered two working prototypes that demonstrated our recommendations. I researched and wrote five of the six sections of the white paper that discussed development and best practices in mobile technologies for museums, and built a prototype mobile website using Omeka plugins and a mobile cascading style sheet. This digital white paper has been recommended by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as a useful resource to inform mobile web development in libraries, archives, and museums.
