Advancement grant to redesign and upgrade the Scripto community transcription tool used by the Papers of the War Department, and many other community transcription projects. The new Scripto will be available as a module for Omeka S to enable community participation and digital public humanities initiatives around digital collections and editions.  In addition to writing the grant, I will also lead the team to set technical and user experience design requirements to implement in a stand-alone module and for the redesigned Papers of the War Department digital edition.
